EPISODE TWO
INT. SEGUN'S RESIDENCE - EVENING
Valerie arrives, carrying pizza and ice cream from Eat-Rite. She's looking forward to a relaxed evening at Segun's place, bypassing the usual phone call, and heads straight to his residence.
Upon entering, she's immediately struck by the loud noise emanating from the living room. The TV blares a football match of his team against another.
VALERIE: (to herself) This one he isn't in the living room watching his favorite team play, I bet he's in the kitchen preparing something delightful to eat.
My baby loves food, smiling...Valerie glances around the kitchen, noticing Segun's absence.
VALERIE (CONT'D): He isn't in here. Could he be in the bedroom resting?
Valerie proceeds further into the house, searching for Segun.
Valerie heads towards the bedroom in search of Segun, but he's nowhere to be found. She checks the bathroom, finding it empty as well.
Puzzled, she wonders where else he could be. Then, she reaches for her phone to make a call.
VALERIE: Ahhh, his phone is right here, meaning he must be around. But Segun never goes anywhere without his phone.
I hope he's not in trouble; this is unlike him. Should I call the police or his friend Alfred?
While contemplating whom to call, Valerie hears footsteps. She swiftly exits the bedroom to see if it's Segun.
To her surprise, a stunning, curvaceous young woman in her early twenties enters the apartment and heads toward the kitchen. Valerie intercepts her.
VALERIE (CONT'D): Hey, who are you, and why are you entering an apartment that isn't yours, heading straight for the kitchen? What audacity. Who the hell are you? Speak now, or I'll call the police.
The young woman looks taken aback but composes herself.
YOUNG WOMAN: I'm Amanda, and I'm here to pick up something from the kitchen. He asked me to get it from there...
Valerie eyes her suspiciously, her concern growing.
VALERIE: I wasn't aware he was expecting anyone to pick up anything. What exactly are you here for?
Tension mounts as Valerie presses for further information.
